Actors Company of Tulsa is a non-profit theatre company in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Our mission is to educate the Tulsa theatrical artist, connect with local business and the community and produce quality theatre that entertains informs and enlightens the city and it’s people. Our primary goals are:
-Complete our first five show season called a “Sizzling Season”
-Establish a Company of Directors that take on business and artistic roles
-Complete the process of obtaining a 501 (c)(3) organizational status
-Create and Maintain Relationships Between Local Business Partners
-Promote Awareness and Community Involvement in Organizations and Causes
In summer of 2010, Actors Company returned with “The Visit” by Friedrich Durrenmatt and a new strategy to have a board of directors who would serve as company leaders and ensemble. The production was a success and spurred another production that fall of Neil Simon’s Rumors and that next summer, 2011, of David Mamet’s “Revenge of the Space Pandas”. This marked the opener of the first full season of the Actors Company of Tulsa and the beginning of an era.
We are half way though our first inaugural season entitled “A Sizzling Season” which has included Angels in America: Millennium Approaches and Anthony Burgess’s A Clockwork Orange. Actors Company of Tulsa currently has no permanent location and works in places that are best suited to the specific production. Our story is not finished and this page will be forever under construction…
